Trump Honors Heroes

On May 16, 2017 President Trump vowed to end all attacks on cops. The president said, "Every drop of blood that spills from our heroes in blue is a wound inflicted upon the whole country" (Trump). The innocent, courageous police officers that risk their lives every day deserve honor and respect. In addition to President Trump's proclamation to protect our nation's police officers, the president lit up the white house in blue [see image below] to recognize the work of our law enforcement.

Trump Say's "It Would Be an Honor"

Recently, President Trump not only agreed to a meeting with Kim Jong Un but he said it would be an honor; "If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely. I would be honored to do it. Under the right circumstances," said Trump on May 1. Trump's statement regarding the North Korean dictator has sparked some interest and concern. Hopefully, President Trump's ultimate goal will be to ease tension between the United States and North Korea.

National Security Spectacular

Today Trump signed another one of his famous executive orders. This time, Trump is ordering an investigation of aluminum imports. Aluminum is used in many military supplies, such as the armor plating for vehicles and planes. Aluminum imports could jeopardize national security if they are being placed in the wrong hands.

Thank you President Trump for securing our national security!

The Notorious NAFTA

Throughout Trump's campaign he claimed that he would withdraw from the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement, commonly known as NAFTA. President Trump called NAFTA a disaster for American workers. Today, President Trump has agreed NOT to terminate NAFTA. However, he and the leaders of Mexico and Canada have determined that they will renegotiate the deal. The [hopeful] goal of the renegotiated treaty is to have it benefit each country (United States, Canada, and Mexico).

Trump's Fabulous Financial Plan

This week the dashing Donald Trump released his official economic plan that he plans to implement. This plan is said to be LARGER THAN ALL OTHER PLANS [Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio totaling $10,779] COMBINED. Trump's tax cut plan is the biggest plan in the past century (maybe longer).

Trump's Tax Plan
  • Simplify Tax Codes; Instead of having five brackets, President Trump will reduces the number of tax brackets to three, creating less tax burdens and less complexity.
  • Doubling the Standard Deduction; Individuals and married couples will be able to deduct more when it comes to tax times.
  • Repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax; This will deconstruct a hugely complicated part of the tax system.
  • Lowering Capital Gains Tax; By lowing the tax from 23.8% to 20% more people will have more incentive to invest their money.
  • Repealing Inheritance Tax; Repealing the "death tax" with put less burden on farmers and small businesses.
  • Preserving Deductions for Mortgages and Charities
  • Cutting Corporate Taxes; Reducing corporate taxes from a whooping 35% to 15% will make the United States look more attractive to businesses overseas. Thus, Trump will live to say he brought businesses back to the United States.
